LPA outside PAR has moderate chance of becoming typhoon – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The low-pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine area of responsibility may enter the PAR on Tuesday afternoon or Wednesday morning and has a moderate chance of developing into a typhoon, the state weather bureau said. According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) weather specialist Veronica Torres, the LPA is likely to bring rain once it enters the PAR and gradually approaches the country. “Once it enters and gradually approaches our country, it could potentially bring rainfall to a large part of the nation,” she said in Filipino.
