Young Belizean athletes carry national pride to Costa Rica Tennis tournament

By Zoila Palma: Two young Belizean tennis athletes are representing the country at the CONTECA U10 Tournament in Costa Rica, where they will compete against some of the region’s best young players. The Belize team includes 9-year-old John Habet and 10-year-old Armaan Sugnani, who are traveling with Coach Ismar Amaya Jr. for the Central American Tennis Confederation competition. The Belize Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association extended best wishes to the athletes, encouraging them to embrace the opportunity to gain international experience, build friendships, and make Belize proud on the regional stage.
