Minister Chea Vandeth Visits AI Exhibition, Meets Global Tech Firms at WAIC 2026

(Shanghai): Cambodian Minister of Post and Telecommunications Chea Vandeth visited the AI Technology Exhibition and met with leading global technology companies on the sidelines of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) 2026, held in Shanghai, China, from 17–20 July 2026. Following the conclusion of the conference's official meetings, the minister, accompanied by senior officials and technical experts, toured the AI exhibition at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Centre to explore the latest advances in artificial intelligence and emerging industry trends. During the visit, Chea Vandeth and the Cambodian delegation held discussions with representatives from Huawei, ZTE, China Telecom, and Alibaba, who showcased their latest AI technologies and solutions. The companies presented innovations ranging from AI computing infrastructure and specialised AI hardware to operating systems, cloud platforms, and AI development and deployment platforms, highlighting enhanced capabilities designed to meet the rapidly growing demands of the AI era.
