Espoo college attacker jailed over racist knife attack on immigrant students
A Finnish court has sentenced an 18-year-old former student to two years in prison for attacking two students of immigrant background with a knife at a vocational college in Espoo, ruling that the assault was driven by a racist motive.
The Western Uusimaa District Court convicted the Vantaa man of attempted aggravated assault, assault and making an unlawful threat over the attack at Live Vocational College in Leppävaara on 29 September 2025. The judgment is not final and remains subject to appeal.
