Ministry of Education breaks ground for Sacred Heart College’s new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics pavilion

By Zoila Palma:  On June 3, 2026, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, together with its development partners, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the Global Partnership for Education (GPE), officially broke ground for a new STEAM Pavilion at Sacred Heart College. “This important investment marks a significant step toward enhancing opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education for our students. We are grateful to our partners for their commitment to supporting quality education and helping create innovative learning spaces for future generations,” SHC said. The Ministry of Education says that this is the first of several to be constructed across the country. The facility will provide students with a science laboratory, a modern recording studio, an innovative makerspace, a fully integrated mechanical and electrical room, a collaborative learning street, and dedicated storage rooms.
