Sunshine and hot temperatures expected across Belize today

By Breaking Belize News Staff (HP): Belizeans can look forward to another day of sunshine and warm temperatures as a moderate east to southeasterly airflow continues to dominate weather conditions across the country. The National Meteorological Service is forecasting sunny skies with a few cloudy spells throughout the day, creating ideal conditions for outdoor activities, travel and business operations. Showers and thunderstorms are expected to remain isolated across most of the country. However, residents in southern Belize could see a few more showers developing late tonight and during the early morning hours. Temperatures will remain hot inland, reaching as high as 95 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal areas are expected to see highs near 89 degrees, while hill regions will enjoy cooler temperatures around 82 degrees. Marine conditions remain moderate, with east-southeasterly winds blowing between 10 and 20 knots and wave heights ranging from 4 to 6 feet. There is also good news for those monitoring the tropics. Forecasters say tropical cyclone development is not expected anywhere in the region during the next 48 hours.
