Egypt condemns attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, warns against escalating threats to Gulf security

Egypt has condemned attacks targeting Bahrain and Kuwait, reaffirming its full solidarity with both countries and rejecting any actions that violate the sovereignty of Gulf states or threaten regional security and stability. In a statement issued on Wednesday, Egypt’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denounced Iranian attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain, calling them a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of both Bahrain and the wider Gulf region. Egypt expressed its full support for Bahrain and all measures taken by the kingdom to safeguard its security, stability, citizens and critical infrastructure. It stressed that the security and stability of Gulf states are an integral part of Arab national security. In a separate statement, Cairo also condemned an attack on Kuwait International Airport that reportedly resulted in injuries and damage to airport facilities, describing it as a violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Egypt reaffirmed its support for Kuwait in confronting the attack and expressed solidarity with the Kuwaiti government and people, backing all measures aimed at protecting the country’s security, stability and vital infrastructure. The Foreign Ministry reiterated Egypt’s categorical rejection of any actions or practices that infringe upon state sovereignty or threaten national security and territorial integrity. It warned that continued attacks risk exacerbating regional tensions and undermining efforts to preserve stability.
