Opposition challenges government over youth unemployment
The Centre Party and Movement Now have launched a parliamentary challenge against Prime Minister Petteri Orpo's government, accusing it of failing young people as unemployment rises and confidence in the future weakens.
The two opposition parties filed an interpellation in Parliament on Wednesday, forcing ministers to defend their record in a debate that will end with a vote of confidence. The move places youth unemployment at the centre of political debate less than a year before parliamentary elections.
