Warmest spring ever recorded across most of Finland
Finland experienced its warmest spring on record across almost the entire country, according to data released by the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
Average temperatures between March and May reached record levels at many observation stations, with temperatures across much of the country running between two and four degrees Celsius above the 1991–2020 average.
The most notable figure came from Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi weather station, where the average temperature for the spring reached 6.9°C.
