Please refer to the attached Infographic.
Since January 2026, 27 incidents affected humanitarian workers. In April, six incidents were reported, a figure unchanged from March, confirming the downward trend since December 2025. This decrease does not reflect an improvement in the security situation, as the overall number of security incidents is increasing. In addition, between January 2025 and April 2026, 122 humanitarian actor operational bases were closed due to financial constraints, reducing their presence across the territory and, consequently, their exposure to security incidents. Most incidents were criminal in nature, including three cases of theft or robbery and one threat incident. The remaining incidents involved restrictions and interference. NGOs were the most affected, with four incidents, involving two national and two international NGOs, followed by United Nations agencies, with two incidents.
Since January 2026, the prefectures of Bangui, Haut-Mbomou and Vakaga have recorded the highest number of incidents, with eight, five and four incidents, respectively.
